We strongly recommend that you go to a breeder who is a member of the Finnish Lapphund Club of Great Britain as they have committed to following the latest care in breeding, health testing, rules and code of ethics of the club.

The breeders listed below have bred and raised at least one litter of Finnish Lapphunds, and are based in the UK. You should expect to wait some time to get a puppy – between six and 18 months is not unusual. The best approach is to contact the breeders by email or telephone to find out more, and ask how to join their waiting list. Breeders are keen to get to know you, so do expect further conversations and even meet ups too.

Once you know the sire and dam of the expected litter, you can ask the breeder for copies of health certificates to check that health tests are up to date, as per the Code of Ethics. 

The club does not endorse any particular breeder on the list below and we cannot intervene in the process that takes place between the breeder and the buyer. Please note that the individual breeder is ultimately responsible for the puppies he or she has sold.
